Bringing Color to Life
Badri Margishvili, born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1954, began his journey in architecture at the University of Georgia. He honed his skills as an architect for five years with the Architectural Association of Tbilisi before pursuing advanced studies in Architecture at St. Petersburg from 1980 to 1984. During this time, he actively contributed to the restoration projects of the historic cityscape. In 1984, Margishvili expanded his artistic horizons by studying painting at the prestigious Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture until 1987. His creative vision is deeply rooted in the Russian avant-garde movement, drawing inspiration from notable artists such as Marc Chagall and contemporary figure Michail Chemiakin. Margishvili’s art has been showcased in numerous group exhibitions across significant art capitals including St. Petersburg, Moscow, New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Presently, he divides his time and artistic practice between Georgia and Greece.
