On the right, the Sun becomes an immense, almost divine force, drawing human figures toward its center. Their bodies appear to reach out in a final plea for forgiveness, suggesting judgment, purification, and the surrender of the individual to something greater than themselves.
From this moment of dissolution, birds emerge as symbols of freedom and transition. They carry the composition forward, bridging the end of one existence with the beginning of another.
The human figures then begin to gather and transform, forming what appears to be a new galaxy. Within this cosmic formation emerges the symbol of DNA — the fundamental code of life. It represents memory, inheritance, and the invisible thread connecting generations. Humanity may disappear in one form, yet something of it continues.
The portraits of infants embody this continuation. They symbolize new life, innocence, and the possibility of a new beginning — a generation born from everything that came before, yet carrying the potential to create something entirely new.
At the far left, the All-Seeing Eye watches over the entire passage. It represents higher consciousness, eternal knowledge, and the mysterious presence that observes the endless cycle of creation and destruction.
“After Us” explores the idea that nothing truly disappears. Life changes form, but its memory survives — through our DNA, through future generations, and perhaps through the universe itself.
